On this page:

there is the following text (italics are mine):

> If you want to disable smilies in a post that you make, you can select the ‘Disable Smilies’ option when posting. This is particularly useful _if you are posting_ - you do not want 😉 converted to a smilie face!

Is this just a badly worded sentence, or is there some other way to use this feature? Can you disable smilies on posts _read_?

I think your only option in that regard would be to disable images in your browser settings.

Actually, **KTK** , there’s an option to disable smilies in the post window. It’s right below the part where you type your message in, in the options bar.

It’s only comes up when your posting, however.

See? 😃 😮 ;O.

Okay, I edited the statement slightly.

It probably looked just fine to the guys that wrote the software.

So now I’m fun-cused. Was my answer appropriate and/or right for the question being asked?
