People do keep dancing around it but yes; the biggest reason for the drop in birthrate is women’s rights.

No, they didn’t. Marital rape was only [made illegal in the UK](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marital_rape#England_and_Wales) in the 1990s. Up until very recently women were slaves in all but name.
