Is there any reason why CD's cost more than tapes?

Same thing goes for DVD’s which are priced higher than VHS tapes. You won’t see me running out to buy a DVD player until the price comes down.

Until the price comes down to what?

DVD players don’t cost much more than VCRs, and the quality is amazingly better. At some point you have to just pay for what you want.

What I think this topic is overlooking is that the rise in price of CDs corresponds to a rise in price for entertainment overall. Remember, ten years ago, when a movie at the theater cost $5?

Now they are close to double that. CDs have actually not increased so quickly. And they are replayable. Think of the deal you are getting!!

Casettes have not increased in price for the simple reason that, if they did, no one would buy them.
