> So, we have you claiming I was misleading because of things\* I left out\*. When called upon to show what I left out _you then point to something I actually said_. Maybe that explains why in your latest post you contradict yourself and make my point in one sentence. Well done, champ. Thank you for that.

In a thread that refers to people that cannot make up their minds, it is pertinent to know the background of the ones that use fear to advance their political careers. When they see where they came from that many times convinces people on the fringes not to support them, since you bring them up, it is you we have to thank.

> At least you seem to have grasped that the rightness or wrongness of either Tancredo or The Minutemen have anything to do with the fact that they helped bring it to the fore. And you seem to now think that Tancredo deserves “credit” for his actions. not “blame”. We are in agreement. Maybe there is hope after all

Tancredo and other republicans helped the minutemen by going to their meets, The Minutemen have very little support. Tancredo and others are using the Minutemen to put forward their draconian ideas. It is still silly to assign any credit to the Minutemen.

But if you insist on assigning noble ideas to them, you missed the cite I posted early on purpose:

> [@](#):
>
> COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. – The predominantly Hispanic towns of Douglas and Naco are connected by the aptly named Border Road, a 20-mile stretch of rocky dirt that runs parallel to a ragged barbed wire fence separating the United States from Mexico.
> The night of April 3, armed vigilantes camped along Border Road in a series of watch posts set-up for the Minuteman Project, a month-long action in which revolving casts of 150 to 200 anti-immigration militants wearing cheap plastic “Undocumented Border Patrol Agent” badges mobilized in southeastern Arizona. Their stated goal was to “do the job our government refuses to do” and “protect America” from the “tens of millions of invading illegal aliens who are devouring and plundering our nation.”
>
> At Station Two, Minuteman volunteers grilled bratwursts and fantasized about murder.
>
> “It should be legal to kill illegals,” said Carl, a 69-year old retired Special Forces veteran who fought in Vietnam and now lives out West. “Just shoot 'em on sight. That’s my immigration policy recommendation. You break into my country, you die.”
>
> Carl was armed with a revolver chambered to fire shotgun shells. He wore this hand cannon in a holster below a shirt that howled “American bad asses” in red, white and blue. The other vigilantes assigned to Station Two included a pair of self-professed members of the National Alliance, a violent neo-Nazi organization. These men, who gave their names only as Johnny and Michael, were outfitted in full-body camouflage and strapped with semi-automatic pistols.
>
> Earlier that day, Johnny and Michael had scouted sniper positions in the rolling, cactus-studded foothills north of Border Road, taking compass readings and drawing maps for future reference.
>
> “I agree completely,” Michael said. “You get up there with a rifle and start shooting four or five of them a week, the other four or five thousand behind them are going to think twice about crossing that line.”
>
> With a grilled sausage in one hand and a cheap night vision scope in the other, Johnny scanned the brush in Mexico, spitting distance away.
>
> “The thing to do would be to drop the bodies just a few hundred feet into the U.S. and just leave them there, with lights on them at night,” he said. “That sends the message ‘No Trespassing,’ in any language.”

If I ever am able to extract sense out of this I will get back tou you. Nah, why bother.

If you are still trying to deny theat the Minutemen—right or wrong in their beliefs or actions—have helped focus light on the issue of illegal information, you are living in a world of your own invention.

Here you go with the bad form again. You just posted this exact thing in another thread. But because I told you I was done with you there, you stalk me here an post it again.

In an attempt to put a stop to such behavior (it has nothing to do with the OP) I will now tell you that I will not repsond to you here either.

If you are so infatuated with the racist or otherwise evil aspects of the Minutemen why don’t you just start a Pit thread on the subject? Seriously.

Other than that, we are done.

Ok,

In a thread that refers to people that cannot make up their minds, it is relevant to know the background of the ones that use fear to advance their political careers. When undecideds see where those fear mongers came from, many times that convinces the people that can not make up their minds to not support the proponents of fear, since you bring them up, it is you we have to thank.

That is a lie, the only thing I’m doing is just reporting the kind of people the Minutemen attract where is relevant.

I was watching Anderson Cooper the other day and I’m definitely torn.

On the one hand, these people are very brave risking their lives to come here.

On the other hand, how can we in good conscience keep encouraging all these people to risk their lives coming here? How awful must it be to leave your home, trek across your country, then trek across another country, finally trekking all the way across Mexico? People end up double & triple amputees. People get robbed. People get kidnapped. People get raped. People get killed.

How can we allow this?

If we firmly closed our borders, these people wouldn’t have to endure these atrocities. Instead, they could stay home with their families, their loved ones, and their governments would have to ask themselves, why don’t our own people want to live here? Then maybe some real positive changes could take place.
