# Is there going to be a Tales of Monkey Island 2?

Or Monkey Island 6, so to speak.
My wife and I are just playing Tales now. We’re on part 4 and love it. Monkey Island has always been our favorite adventure game series and this one has been pretty good.
I know they are releasing Monkey Island 2: Special Edition this year, but I really want a new Monkey Island game.
HoboStew, do you know? I know you worked on the first one. By the way, what was your job on the first one and are you in the credits?
Anyone else like Tales 1?

I haven’t seen any mention of a reprisal of any of their other titles, so I’ve been thinking it’ll go back-and-forth between Monkey Island and Sam & Max.
Have you tried their other titles? Sam & Max continues to be a joy to me, through both Telltale seasons and the commentaries that come on the DVD. I haven’t finished Strong Bad or Wallace and Grommit because even though they’re good because I need them in reserve. Sometimes after finishing an episode of one of these games I get the jones real bad to play another one.

Hard to say how you’d feel about them if you didn’t enjoy the first season. I found the whole thing entertaining, with not only entertaining characters but clever puzzles that never became frustrating. I dug Monkey Island pretty well, but it wasn’t quite as funny as Sam & Max. Not to give anything away, but some characters I never even liked paid off surprisingly well in the long run. And Little Timmy still cracks me up.
