# Is there literally something wrong with the South?

That is all true. Most modern music originates from the South including jazz, blues, country, and rock and roll. That is just part of its disproportionate contribution to the world. There is certainly nothing screwed up about that. Now, if the manners would catch on elsewhere, we might be onto something. Even Southerners that defend the Confederacy tend to be the most patriotic of the USA as a whole today. I understand why that it but I can see why it wouldn’t make sense to others.
