# Is there some sort of app or FF extension that will resize photos for upload?

Ideally a firefox extension that will do so automatically.

Some message boards allow photos, but only to a certain size, and it’s a slight pain to have to open them in photo editing software, then resize, then upload. I’d like to take out the first two steps.

Surely someone has addressed this problem by now. Any ideas?

Are you posting them to an image host or directly to the message board? If you use a host, [imageshack](http://imageshack.us/) is one host which will automatically resize them when you upload.

If you’re using Win XP you can download a [PowerToy](http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) for image resizing.

Once you download it all you need to do is right-click on your jpeg and select ‘resize picture’. It will then give you a selection of four common sizes.
