# Is there something such as a "tune-up" or is that just a rip off?

Keep in mind that their use of the term “tune-up” is useless, because at this point only THEY know what they mean by it.

What EXACTLY are they proposing to do? Once we know that, we can evaluate the price.

I’ll have to find out and get back to you. I know they want to change the spark plugs and check the belts. Hmm, not sure what else… Just seems like a lot for just checking.

My truck just past 100K, so in the name of preventive action, I’m having my shop replace all the belts and check all the hoses and wiring, just to be sure. Maybe new plugs as well. Luckily, all I have to pay for is parts. 😃
