# Is this a book, movie or a dream?

Either this is a book/movie plot I heard about once, or something I dreamed.
The plot goes like this: a family moves to a new town. People seem fairly nice, and the first few days they’re in the new house pass peacefully. Then, one morning they discover that someone has left an anonymous confession of some sort of crime on their door. It’s just the first of many.

I’ve tried a lot of different permutations of Google searches to no effect.
It sounds like it would make a great yarn. You should write it.
