# Is this a El Nino year?

This weather (in the NE) absolutly sucks.  
I don’t ever remember having such a cold wet spring.

What gives?

Is the rest of the country also dealing with dreary day after dreary day or is it just a NYC thing?

We are being told by the weathermen that it is a [La Niña](http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/local/5898746.htm) year.

I bloody well hope not, on this side of the puddle we are struggling to come out of the worst drought in a century mainly related to the El Nino effect.
