Is this a false confession?

The scratches were on his leg and were fresh. How do you get scratches on one’s leg from a piggyback ride?

Who were the other people whose DNA was found under her nails?

Regards,
Shodan

When the police were looking for him they called his aunt and uncle’s home and asked for the address. He gave the phone to his aunt, she gave the police the address and they returned to their dinner expecting the police to knock on the door in a bit.

When police arriver instead of knocking they kicked the door down and gave Met a beating. Shortly after that they tested the blood on his shirt and found all of the blood was his own.

Was he resisting arrest? He doesn’t speak English “(He was) walking at a fast pace and continued to, even though I was motioning down and pointing a weapon at him,” Taylor said. “I physically took him by the neck and put my pistol in his face and forced him to the ground.” http://m.deseretnews.com/article/865594072/Medical-examiner-7-year-old-girl-died-from-blunt-force-injuries.html?pg=all

The expert did not testify that the scratches came from a child. She said she did not know, they could have and she thought they looked like small scratches. If you read enough about the case you will see he got a good beating shortly before he confessed.

As to the DNA under the girls nails, the lab was evidently only asked to test for certain specific males, and they found DNA from male family and Met but not from the roommates. This piece of DNA is particularly meaningless since if you have a delicate enough test you can find microscopic skin cells from many people under anyone’s fingernails. There are additional problems with the DNA evidence in the police report and I will upload it when I can.
