I’m deciding which health insurance plan to acquire but have little idea of what’s good bang for the buck and what’s not.

How does this one sound?
**Cost:** $4,500 a year.

\*\*Annual deductible: \*\*$2,000 in-network, $4,000 out-of-network
\*\*Copay: \*\*70% after deductible in-network, 60% after deductible out-of-network
\*\*Annual out-of-pocket maximum: \*\*$10,000 in-network, $20,000 out-of-network

If it’s for yourself, it’s not a good deal. If it’s for a family, it is.

You also need to take into account pharmacy co-pays, if your physicians are in-network, what the PCP/specialist/out-of-network/traveling copays are, what the ER copay is, if any regular treatments you might receive are covered, and so on.

Not enough info.

Are you a tobacco user? How old are you? What state are you in?
