# Is this a good PC deal?

Through my company’s IT department, I can buy the following system:  
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 \*(3.00Ghz)  
Nvidia GeForce 8800GT  
500gb Western Digital HDD  
DVD/RW  
600w Power Supply  
4gb RAM (2x2gb DIMMs)  
ASUS P5KPL-VM motherboard  
Standard keyboard and mouse  
Floppy disk drive  
(no monitor)

for $1400.  
Is that a good deal?

Seconded.

You can “configurate” a similar system for around the same price as **ZipperJJ** quotes at [iBuyPower](http://ibuypower.com/mall/lobby.htm). There was a thread about the company not to long ago – I’ve had good experiences with them.
