If you automatically assume that anything I post is wrong then you will be right more times than not. So, a good rule of thumb for future reference.

This is how my violation transpired: Initially, I posted what was intended as nothing more than a humourous (but totally benign seeing as how I think the number of self-professed “dittoheads” on this board is rather minute) poke. I honestly edited it to “NM”, however, shortly after posting it because I realized the forum in which the thread was posted was not the place for such jokes.
Now, seeing as I had an edit line offering me reason to explain my edit, I thought the not-so-clever ploy of specifically saying why I edited my post (in order to still get the joke across but the humor was enhanced by the delivery) was too funny to pass up.
I honestly had no idea such a thing was a cyber-felony.
We already did that next year.

So, in other words, you violated board rules. Caught yourself and redacted it. Then said “Whatever, who cares about board rules, they’ll know what I mean” and violated the board rules anyways.
Just like in life you seem to think you’re above the rules.
Now, you know full well that’s a lie. You admitted in the beginning of this post that what you did was a violation. But you chose to do it anyways. Besides, if you didn’t think it was against board rules, why’d you edit it out?

I regarded my transgression as a, at best, mild board no-no. Given the harmless comedic content of my “transgression”, however, I figured that no one would get too upset with it. You leap to any issue of mine as if it’s a ban-worthy event. Get a life.
I didn’t say it was ban worthy. I just said you knew it was against board rules when you did it but seem to feel that board rules don’t apply to you. You seem to think that a lot of rules don’t apply to you.
ETA, have I ever said anything you’ve done here was ban-worthy? I honestly don’t think I have? I’d prefer if you didn’t say that about me if I didn’t do it. I’m not trying to nit pick, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never called for your banning/warning etc. I’m not even sure of the last time I’ve requested a mod’s attention on this board for anything other then spam.
Did I protest any mod action taken against my violation? Of course not. What in the world are you talking about, “I don’t think the rules should apply to me”. That is utter bs. I made a mistake and I’ve been admonished for it. My error was in not realizing the gravity of my violation, evidently. I’ve made absolutely no attempts to be above any rules. And you don’t seem to read what I write very clearly, do you? I did not say you ever said anything I did or posted here was ban-worthy. What I said was “you leap to any issue of mine as if it was ban-worthy”. Please take the time to read and digest my posts before responding. 
Given that the question in the OP has been answered, and this is descending into bickering, I’m closing this. If you want to fight with each other do it in the Pit.
