And/or he’s determined to convince the powers that be that he can be just as effective managing “remotely” and he’s being overly watchful so he can pounce and prove his worth. I was management in an amusement park where we had dozens of “observation points” many were just places where if you hang out there you had a good view of the area. about half of them were indoor spots where view ports were intentionally installed in areas where you could clandestinely watch cash handling areas, ride ticket handling, and a variety of other “points of concern”. Several of them were covered by one way mirrors so viewers were difficult at best to spot. It was not unusual for us to spend an hour or two per shift floating between them watching things.
