Not really a surprise. How long 'til it shows up on Ebay?
I have to say I’m disappointed, from a purely historical perspective.

I’m shocked, shocked, to find that archeological fraud has been perpetrated to fleece the gullible.

Last night on CNN Headline News, the scrolling newsbites at the bottom of the screen stated that, according to an expert, the “bone box” in question must be a forgery because the inscriptions are in modern, not Biblical, Hebrew. I have no more details.
The inscription is in Aramaic, the actual spoken language of Jesus’ time, not a form of Hebrew.
UnuMondo
I don’t think there was any finding that the Aramaic wasn’t authentic but the inscription was in two different hands and showed a false patina.
It already has. at least, a lousy facsimile of the inscription, anyway.
