# Is this Spielberg miniseries "Taken" worth my time?

Sci Fi is airing all ten episodes of Steven Spielberg’s **Taken**.

The cast looks pretty fun - the guy from 4400, Catherine Dent from The Shield, Michael Moriarty, Lt. Disher from Monk, Harriet from Studio 60, Sol from Deadwood, Rita from Dexter…and this is just the first episode.

My question: for those of you that have seen this, is it worth it to record and watch all ten episodes? I’m not even sure how I missed this the first time…

I really enjoyed it, and kept looking forward to new episodes as they arrived. FWIW, anyway.

I liked it a lot. I still have my VHS tapes of **Taken** , and I intend to watch it again someday.

I won’t attempt to pass any more judgment on it than to say I watched part of one episode and decided it wasn’t for me. To put that remark in perspective, I felt the same way about _Lost_ and this latest season of _Big Brother_. There’s another show I can’t even remember the name of, with Lauren Ambrose from _Six Feet Under_ and Parker Posey from many of Christopher Guest’s movies. It was way too weak for my tastes.

I do like much of Spielberg’s work, too. So this one just didn’t work for me.
