She did appear at a Penzey’s. Their spices, for the record, kick ass. Also, the owner is willing to give up business from Republicans who don’t like him. (Seriously, their spices are really good.) ---

I know. 🙂 I have a lot of them, and I get a corresponding amount of their promotional material by email. Which always includes anti-Trump/MAGA sentiment! There’s an evil little devil who sits on my shoulder, exhorting me to send something of Penzey’s to my parents. They were big fans… before. I doubt they still are, but I’d have a ready-made excuse to go, “¯\_(ツ)\_/¯” The holidays are coming. ---

I shop there, their related-by-family store Spice House, and Burlap and Barrel for all my quality spice needs. That Penzeys is particularly vocal politically is a bonus! There is some evidence (1) that people over the age of 60 who were hospitalized for COVID-19 have a significantly higher incidence of dementia than those over 60 who have not been treated for the disease. It seems to me that if Trump’s increased dementia is due to his bout of COVID-19, there’s a certain amount of poetic justice at play. (1) I saw the story on my newsfeed and can’t find it now so (sorry) no cite. ---
