Turns out that the McDonald’s Trump did his PR stunt at was cited in their most recent health inspection for not following proper handwashing practices or using gloves or hairnets properly. Years ago I recall a bond issue to extend the existing light rail from the urban / old suburban core out into the adjacent new construction white flight suburbia. The No campaign ran local TV ads showing swarthy folks wearing hoodies pulled down over their faces carrying big new TVs onto the train. Back when televisions had CRTs and were huge _heavy_ cubical things. 26 inches!!1! Woot!!! The clear implication being that Those People would ride the train out to your nice safe whitebread suburbia, steal TVs from your living rooms or appliance stores, then get back on the train to carry their loot back to the 'hood. Of course without a train they could never get to where you are; you’d be safe. I guess folks in the 'hood don’t have access to cars. The bond issue did not pass, being overwhelmingly voted down by the wealthy suburban county, despite passing in the adjacent poorer urban county. The fear of people of the wrong color stealing big stuff seems pretty ingrained. Or at least is well-fertilized by the RW bastards. ---

This reminded me of an episode, “The Farnsworth Stratagem”, of _The Rockford Files_ where Jim runs a con to get his friend’s money back after he’s been scammed. It involves convincing the original conmen that there is oil on the property used in their scam and that the mineral rights are actually valuable. IIRC, the clincher is when their drilling strikes “natural gas” and starts blowing. The conmen buy back the property from their victims. When asked what they struck by his buddy, Rockford says: “Just what we were aiming for–the water main.” I could see Trump being conned into thinking there are “gasoline wells”. Trump: “I know more about drilling for gasoline than anyone! We’ll have the cheapest gasoline coming right out of the ground!” (Linda Evans is the main guest star in the episode, and she looks uncannily like her replacement, Bo Derek, as John Derek’s wife. I guess he had a type.) ---

I’d really like to know where Trump’s usage of ‘amorphous’ came from and how many times he practiced saying it in front of a mirror. Trump has a tiny vocabulary…the last uncommon term he came up with was ‘hydroxychloroquine.’ ---

Yes. The only real way to “ace” this test is to have your doctor look at you, and say, “You don’t need a cognitive test.” So we know Trump has failed that part at least twice, now. ---
