The DCMA made it illegal for third-parties to re-set or modify the software to get the machines working. Corporate policy forbade franchise owners or operators to violate this provision by hiring others to work on the machines. This ruling will allow the franchise owners and store operators to legally hire other firms to repair their machines. So, it’s already been fixed. All Trump can do now is screw it up. ETA: The ruling was published yesterday afternoon, effective Monday, October 28, 2024. ---

If all the food he’s ever gotten from McDonald’s has been delivered to him, and is therefore at least 10-15 minutes old, he’s obviously never had warm fries. No wonder he thinks you can scoop them by hand. ---

In some list of the craziest things seen in the workplace (or something like that) someone told about when they were training a new employee at some place with a deep frier and the trainee dropped some sort of kitchen tool into the oil and before the trainer could react he reached in with both hands to get it out. He, of course, left in an ambulance and never came back (and is probably crippled for life). So (assuming the story is true) there really are people that stupid. ---

Is there really nothing that can be done about blatant lying during an election? Especially when large cable tv outlets are aiding and assisting in they lying? I mean, if I put out an advertisement that lied this obviously about one of my business competitors, I’d get sued into penury.
