Trump rallies have had “YMCA”, his oblivious followers singing along to a gay anthem. Neil Young sued Trump in 2020 for using “Rockin in the Free World”. Reagan brought up Springsteen in a speech in NJ - “America’s future rests in a thousand dreams inside your hearts; it rests in the message of hope in songs so many young Americans admire: New Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen”. "Born in the USA"was about a Vietnam vet who had not been taken care of by the VA. I’ve been thinking about why Trump is having such a hard time accepting that Harris is now his opponent. Running for president is not just about avoiding prison, he needs to beat _Biden_ to get his revenge for 2020. He can’t believe that Biden dropped out because he would never do that and he keeps talking about Biden trying to get back on the ticket at the convention, because if the R’s forced him out he would try to storm the convention and hijack it. Anything else just doesn’t compute. But that’s not going to happen and now having to face Harris robs him of that sweet, sweet revenge he so desperately wants. He just can’t comprehend that that dream has been taken away from him so he can only keep trying to manipulate the process (like pretending there are three debates set up) in hopes that she will fail and Biden will come back. ---

The fact that Democrats want to win the election for non selfish reasons isn’t a thing that even occurs to him. He’s taking it all extremely personally. And I’ll go out on a limb and predict that Harris is not showing up to that September 4th debate. No matter how many times he tries to get out there and force reality, it doesn’t seem to be working for him this time. ---
