I was hoping to end what looked to be the start of a series of people pointlessly fighting (and misunderstanding!) the question.

In case you were wondering, the OP was hoping for a discussion that would proceed for the most part as it mostly did: Folks sharing their beliefs about who goes to (their notion of) “hell” and whether or not Donald Trump was one of those people.

Bad that they have a voice, good that they are easily identified. If you have vermin in your house, you want to know where and who they are.

I think that’s debatable. I don’t believe that racists just arise spontaneously. I feel that racists learned their racism from previous racists.
So pushing racists into hiding serves a valid purpose. It may not eliminate the racists who already exist. But it keeps them from spreading their infection and reduces the creation of new racists. Eventually the old racists will die off and their racism will die with them if they weren’t given a chance to pass it on.
