I was aware that Nikki Haley has Indian ancestry. Her ethnicity has come up in several past threads about her. That’s why I linked to a picture of her. The world doesn’t neatly break down into “white people” and “brown people”. Is Bashar Assad a “brown person”? The fact is that both the Levant and the Indian subcontinent are home to a wide variety of phenotypes, and some of them would be read as “white” and some of them wouldn’t. Historically, in America, “white” has meant little more than “not black”. ---
