Of course they can. They just don’t want us to find coverage of Trump’s latest idiotic misdeed. Or the next one. Or the one after that.

And they want to dismiss and downplay everything we do find, and maybe make us feel bad for caring about it when there are … dun dun dun … Other Problems in the world! Because Lord knows, you can’t care about these problems when there are Other Problems. Just wait until there are no Other Problems, then you can focus on this. Other Problems are so much more important than anything we discover about Donald Trump.

My wife is a Weather Channel junkie, and most of it is repetition. People in areas at risk should have evacuated away from their TVs anyhow.
Anyhow, lack of Haiti coverage was pre-Trump.

Look, I can’t claim to understand this, but it’s clear that somehow this is having a massive effect on his favorability. I heard it and thought it was massively unsurprising, but the thing has lead to a bunch of Republican leaders who previously were uncommitted or even supported him officially disavowing him. This comes a couple days before the second debate, which is when searches for candidates are high.

It’s not surprising news, but for some reason it is actually seems to be the nail in the coffin for a lot of people.

Hurricane Matthew, which is treated as a “mundane storm”, and less important than Trump’s idiotic comments, killed at least 33 Americansin one weekend. There is still severe flooding in North Carolina, and this number could rise. By my count, ISIS has killed 33 Americans since 2014, and seems to be a favorite topic of many politicians. Why do the least important stories get the most coverage?
