You’ve already seen yourself lying on your deathbed?
In 1995 I was in an automobile accident. When they carried me from the wreckage of my truck to the ambulance, my heart stopped and they had to do CPR. On the way to the first hospital they had to do CPR again and at the hospital they entubated me and put me on a ventilator and respirator. My Wife followed me to the big city hospital where the organ procurement people met her at the door. You could say I was dead except nobody did the paperwork. I’m much better now, but I’m not any more enlightened. Sorry, I got cheated out of my near-death experience.
Which is one of the things that stink about being an atheist. If you’re wrong, there’s that “oh, shit” moment (hopefully, the moment is followed by learning that you’ll do OK anyway because of the nature of whatever the afterlife turns out to be). But if you’re right, you’ll never know.
Hope so.
It’s been 16 years and I still don’t know what happened to my class ring!
But the really important question is, can I take my cds?
