# Is Uncle Cecil on vacation?

Not that he doesn’t deserve one, but isn’t there supposed to be a new column every Friday. Heck, I’d take a week off whenever I could take it. So cheers to you my Perfect Master and dear buddy!

There is a new column every Friday. Today’s: [Is it dangerous to eat magic mushrooms before they have dried out? What mushrooms are safe to eat?](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/061229.html)

I’m not sure why it hasn’t been officially posted and referenced on the front page, but I’m sure it will be shortly.

The column link is posted, but the illustration (as of 7:30 PM CST) is for last weeks column. Happily, the current weeks’ illustration does accompany the column itself.
