# Is writing grant proposals for comic book creators considered a non-profit entity?

Seriosly, I’m looking for information for getting free money for comic book creators. I’m interested in self-publlishing my owm work. Is that considered a non-profit entity?  
Does anyone here know of any other sources for comic book people besides the Xeric FOundation?
