Hmm, it seems that the average male SDMB has a bigger then average penis. Does that say anything? ---

A shade over average, and proud of it. An ex-roomie of mine, though, was porn-star huge, and loved to show it off at the drop of a…hat. Seriously, it was freakishly huge. However, I heard from more than one ex of his that it was absolutely no fun at all, and that was quite a consolation. ---

A solid 7" under normal arousal. Tends to get bigger with prolonged usage. My girlfriend says I’m “big, but not porn star big.” Which is fine by me. 🙂 ---

I haven’t measured it (and I’m at work right now, so I’m not going to do it now) but I have the word of a professional that I’m larger than average. I don’t think she’d have lied; I’d already given her the money. ---

One Penn & Teller’s Bullshit focussed on the penis. Among the activities a urologist described how he measured three participants in a “do penis enlargement products work” experiment. No arousal required - just stretching (doc made sure to say “with gloved hand” but for auto-measurement I’m sure that’s optional). He said “from the base” (duh) without getting into details where _exactly_ the base begins. My guess: go along the side since the change in angle from shaft to bag is greater, providing a more discernible boundary. It’s been a while since I measured, but I seem to recall between 5½ and 6 inches. I’ll double-check and get back to you after I’m home. (gives a different meaning to “Preview Post” ---

This thread makes me want to watch HBO’s Oz again. There were enough penises on that show to be able to determine an average, I think. Except for Hoyt – he raised the bar, so to speak. ---
