# Is Zlatlan's career finished?

He suffered a ligament injury [which will keep him out till January](http://www.espn.in/football/manchester-united/story/3109038/manchester-uniteds-zlatan-ibrahimovic-likely-out-until-at-least-january-with-knee-injury-sources).

He is a great striker, but he will be 36 in October and this is a very bad injury to get in your prime, never mind in your prime, I can think of many players who were never the same after a cruciate ligament tear. Arteta for one.

Well, it’s unlikely he’ll ever start for Manchester United again, true.

I suspect he’ll use this as the reason to head to either China or the USA. Even post-surgery he’d be a star either place.

It’s sad, in a way, because he spent this year proving quite successfully that a) he’s still a beast, and b) United are in real bad shape because, without him, they’d be mid-table.

I think he’ll come to the US. He’ll be a draw, but whether he dominates will depend a lot on how healthy he is.

He’s been the person I most wanted to see in MLS for a decade, but if his mobility is shot he’ll be significantly less useful.

Unsure. The MLS is not or no longer is for bums who are well past it, like Frank Lampard proved.
