It’s … **$cientology**. Please spell it correctly. :rolleyes: As for Hayes, well, this makes him a hypocrite, and a human being. He’s showing us a NIMBY-like view of selective outrage, given South Park’s long history of extreme mockery. ---

(Only semi-joking.) I’m guessing Christianity gets a pass because it’s had enough time to work off the majority of it’s kooks and has ended up with a following that’s mostly blase about its beliefs. And, just maybe, the premise is slightly less silly, but that’s just my personal bias talking. ---

I’m kinda torn here. I think a discussion of the legitimacy of Scientology as a church/religion would make a great thread–and I hate bucking the momentum in this one–but that topic is more suitable for Great Debates. This particular thread, being in Cafe Society, should probably get back on track discussing Isaac Hayes and not _just_ his religion. If anyone would like to start that thread in GD, please feel free to link to it from within this thread. ---

Well, let’s see…at the Moutain Meadows Massacre, a Mormom group disguised as Indians murdered a wagon train of Arkansans trying to settle in Utah. When I worked at the Public LIbrary, there were groups of Mormons wanting to trade new Mormon history books for our old ones. 🙂 ---
