They could kill him off by having die due to a home-made [e-meter incident](http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/E-Meter/Mark-VII/) … soup-cans + household current, anyone? That or do a really inside joke and have him die during a [clambake](http://www.xenu.net/). ---

I don’t know what the hell happened with the replay of the “Trapped in the Closet” episode that I thought a Comedy Central announcer said would happen tonight (maybe he said or meant next Wednesday?), but I apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced and is feeling TIVO’ed off. OTOH, Trey and Matt are going to be on Letterman tonight (hey, I caught the snippet of promo footage at the end of “CSI,” and pictures don’t lie). So we have that to look forward to, unless a meteor hits us first, or something… ---

According to my channel guide its supposed to be on. Instead Comedy Central is showing the indie film episode. Bad Comedy Central! Bad, bad Comedy Central! The In the Closet episode is probably my favourite one, and I finally had a Tivo so I could keep it forever; sadly it is not to be. Dirty bastids! :mad: ---

It may have been an amicable parting (although you never can be completely sure with these guys). Still, I have to ask, what the heck was Isaac Hayes thinking? I mean, two of the most vicious cartoon creators on the planet, who’ve repeatedly shown that they’ll gladly offend anyone and anything, and have never once faced anything remotely resembling serious opposition, with a wildly popular cartoon which is _all about_ tearing people down…and he tosses them a horribly flawed argument in defense of the honor or sacredness or whatever…of Scientology? Making it clear that he’s offended?? Dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. If he’s incredibly lucky, he only has to endure a few years of ribbing from fantatically loyal South Park fans and Chef gets a merciful death. If he’s incredibly lucky. Okay, here’s what you do. It’s very simple, really. Say that you’ve grown tired with the character and want to move on to other things. Work out how the character is going to be retired. Leave on good terms. Then, a little down the line, _calmly_ admit the real reason you left. If someone calls you on your apparent hypocricy, just say that you care deeply about your religion. What Isaac did was like Russian Roulette. Sure, maybe he won’t suffer a horrible fate, but why take the chance? (P.S.: Anyone wish to dispute this, go ahead. This is one topic where I’d be _thrilled_ to be proven wrong.) ---

They should replace Chef with a lunch lady possibly voiced by Joan Rivers or someone equally detestable. She could be named Dolomite. 😉 Personally, I think Chef is going to be abducted by aliens and probed for all eternity. :eek: ---

Parker and Stone were gracious about it last night on Letterman. They mentioned the hubbub briefly, then just moved on; the whole interview felt like Dave was trying to catch up for the last ten years during which they hadn’t been on the show. (I think this was their first appearance?) And I still think Dakota Fanning should be the new voice of Chef. ---

Now that I think it over, maybe “gracious” isn’t the right word. “Nonplused” might be better: “We did an episode last season about Scientology, and at the time, we thought, ‘Hey, Isaac might quit over this,’ and sure enough, he did.” [Shrug] ---
