This is just a rant. I have no political motives nor anything to debate. I have watched every execution video in full that they have put out, including the latest where they beheaded 21 Coptic Christians on a beach. You can search and find all of these videos if you wish. Maybe to them, its about “religion”, but to me it’s about 20 or 30,000 ted bundy type psycho serial killers running loose. You don’t saw a persons head off with a big knife (and that is how they invariably do it, if you have never watched one of their beheadings) unless you are completely fucking nuts. I wish the world would put together a ground force and go after and exterminate every fucking one of these psychos. ---

I agree that war should be waged ferociously against ISIS. That being said, it’s true that bombing and drone-striking and ground troops and tanks and other forces can only do so much. ---

To play a devils advocate, dying from shrapnel wounds is not all that fun either I would imagine, and it can take an awful lot longer to die. My point being, most forms of killing is horrendous. Some of these folks have lived in fucked up places, and seen fucked up things well before they became murderers themselves. I imagine that a large number of them are so far gone they need to be put down for good. The thought of that makes my stomach churn for the people living near or under these bastards, I hope they can get away or stay underground while it all unfolds around them. Actually is anyone else surprised this war has not turned to the old way already, since ISIS are so good at scaring people, beginning with a national draft or two? I’d think a call to arms among Mid-East countries would be a civilizing force for the whole region. Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and maybe the Arab Emirates need to just get it over with and join hands so they can march a million strong army into ISIS territories and stomp some face, America be damned. ---

I mean, thanks for watching and confirming they exist but at this point in my life watching someone else die ranks rather low on the to-do list. It’s not about religion, it’s about power. These guys get their rocks off by having absolute power over other people. They have no limits on what they’ll do. Beheading, burning alive, the latest is apparently an attempt to use poison gas weapons… At least the Nazis (usually) killed people before cremating them. “All of them” is going to include sympathizers and people forced into servitude. Ideally these people need to see the inside of a prison, like some of the Nazis did\* after Nuremburg. ---

Two possible explanations: 1. They are driven to kill infidels wherever they find them, and Allah will handle the consequences. 2. The only way to bring about the caliphate is to provoke total war with everyone choosing sides. of course, that can also bring about their total destruction, but they are believers, they can’t actually lose their Armageddon. So why not provoke it? ---

a disconcerting thing about the video is that it’s done up like a modern trailer with some production values. this is not a stationary cam on a set. i can only assume the actual beheading is also likewise HD, or perhaps i was fooled by a parody video. OP? ---

My favorite aspect of ISIS is that they’re basically a comic book/Saturday morning cartoon villain organization in real life. So now when anyone complains about fictional bad guys being over the top evil or too crazy there’s a counter-example. And how about that international recruitment? Often people poke fun at how the evil organization can always find guards and cannon fodder. Who would want to join the evil organization that all the countries hate and want to destroy? Shit pay with a high chance of death? Where do I sign? ---

The good thing about ISIS is that it brings so many assholes together in one place. Who knew assholery could be so efficiently self-organizing? Seriously, though, if you can get enough of the mentally unbalanced and generally dangerous extremist types from the larger Muslim world all in one place, that’s great! Killing them and being done with the problem becomes actually much simpler than dealing with isolated attacks for many years. One big nuke and you’re done. Pay off Pakistan and Iran to shut up about fallout and it’s the end of the TSA, drone strikes, warrantless wiretaps, etc… ---

That and they’re trying perhaps to replicate the success they had using fear as a weapon against the Iraqui Shia with other groups / nations. I’m am relieved to see they’re capable of miscalculating badly. ---

ISIS mainly operates in Syria and Iraq, two shit-hole countries that the rest of the mid east cares squat about. The rest of the locals don’t want to waste their military resources (some of which are used to control their own people) on eradicating a threat in one of two countries which have governments with paper thin control over their own house. Western countries don’t want to get involved because then it WILL look like a Christian crusade and ISIS will just get more recruits who are trying to save the world for Allah. ISIS wants to draw EVERYBODY into their little party. They think that their side will win if EVERYBODY has to pick a side. If not, they had a grand time being in charge of wherever they roamed until Allah welcomes them with open arms. These guys are going to get much bigger before any viable solutions are attempted. ---
