To the general question: This would be a likely time for a 3rd party to get traction because of the low popularity of both of the big two. But I also think this would be a good time for US to get to 0 parties, and end the tyranny of the faithful in the big two. When you look at at presidential election, a very small percentage of the electorate gets to decide who the two candidates that have a chance are. I would hope to see a day when party affiliation is detrimental to a political candidate. But then Iām a dreamer sometimes.
