I know that this title will rise many different opinions and comments but what I would appreciate are straight facts (or dope) from people who know what they are talking about and have the education/degrees to say it. An actual timeline would be very helpfull. I’ve heard that many Palistinian leaders have said themselves that Palestine is nonexistent as a place but only as a people. That the word “Palestine” is alien to them. The land we call Israel, from what I know belongs to Israelis. What EXACTLY is the history of the Palestinian people with Israel and claiming Israel as their own? Would a Palesitinian person living in Israel call themself a Israeli Palestinian then? Also, from what I read, that many different sources say many different things…even World Book Encylopedias claim different things from issue to issue. I know it’s a very touchy subject so I would appreciate any assholes not to post their own trollish thoughts in here. Thanks. -M ---

I’m **really** trying hard not to be a smartass, I’m just not sure what this thread would tell you that you can’t find in one of those other threads. Unless, of course, your main question really is about what a Palestinean in Israel would call himself, in which case I sincerely apologize. ---

There are two separate links above **Dogface**. The “primer” doesn’t link to the website which I assume you are criticizing ( and which I didn’t investigate much, but does at first glance look like a pointed advocacy site, rather than an objective history ), but rather one of the numerous SDMB threads on the Palestine/Israel issue. As such, I think it is safe to assume there was more than one opinion presented ;). - Tamerlane
