I can’t come up with a remotely coherent sentence that uses effect as a noun, effect as a verb, affect as a noun, and affect as a verb. Can you? ---

This reminds me of a funny from when I was taking a class in grad school. We all had to give a little talk about a non-profit organization, followed by Q&A. Well, one student talked about a public health organization focused on getting African-American men to be screened for prostate cancer. During the Q&A, in all seriousness, one of the male students asked “Why are they only focused on _men_?” There was a silence. Then an embarassed “Oh.” ---
