Well, Flammi, ya kin type in dialect, ya know, so’z to imitate the sort of thing y’d hear if the person was talking raight atcha instead of just typing it on a keyboard. But for the most part people find a little of that to go a looooooong way. 🙂 ---

Oddly enough, I’ll type “heheheh” as a snicker, because “hehhehheh” just looks wrong, and it’s said all at once - not like a bad Ralph Kramden impression. Heh. Heh. Though “hee hee” is certainly different, and “hehehe” is missing the last h that makes it a string of "heh"s and not "he"s. ---

re affect and effect: I once worked with a programmer who was quite smart. In college he had at first majored in linguistics. He once started to expound on how most people got “affect” and “effect” mixed up. Unfortunately, he had mixed them up, too. I gently pointed that out to him, and he got very embarrassed.
