I dreamed my father took me to a castle in Ohio where a king lived. The whole place was beautiful beyond belief, with lush carpets and spiral staircases and chandliers–the whole works. At times I was the prince and would inherit this kingdom, and I was allowed to sit next to the king on a throne while he gazed over his vast dining room, which could seat hundreds of guests. However the dining room was empty and as the king led me around the dining room while lighting the candles at the tables he told me the queen had been killed in a fire that was caused by a falling candle. Then there was a man who was hideously mutilated–part of his face was burnt and black. He’d been a rebel who’d decided to fight the king and apparently been horribly tortured as a result. The king had forgiven him and now they were best buds but I knew that it wasn’t a good idea for the king to trust him. I didn’t want him to find the king’s secret stairway, which led to his chamber where he could sit in peace and think rather than being bothered by the problems of his kingdom. Of course before my dream could reach its Shakespearian conclusion I woke up. ---

I was on my way to the vet with Blue for his annual checkup when, I turned around for an angel in the middle of the road. A giant, snow-white, furry, huggy angel. Now we have a dog named Lily in our lives! ---
