Help me understand something here: In the world of intellectualism and higher academia, is it not true that atheism, evolution, etc. are far more accepted, ‘proper,’ mainstream, and touted as correct than Christianity, creationism, etc.? ---

Of course not. For one thing, you’re conflating athiesm/evolution and christianity/creationism. Plenty of christians, possibly even a majority, accept evolution. For the other part, no, christians (or other religious adherents) are not subjected to the same level of suspicion and potential ostracization that athiests face in some workplaces. ---
