WTF? I know it’s supposed to be warmer on the coast than the wastelands of Indiana, but this is weird.

VunderBob and the VunderHund took a 3 mile walk on the Chesapeake Bay beach. It was gorgeous! Old fat dad and old fat dog sorely needed the exercise.

-2 in Helena, Montana. Windchill is somewhere around -15.

We’re not even supposed to seed +7 until later this week.

I got called a wimp because I turned down an invite to go x-country skiing this afternoon.

Whistlepig, who’s cooking up some shrimp gumbo and watching an old BW horror movie. What you’re supposed to do when it’s this cold.

It’s 73 here in Charleston. I couldn’t believe how warm it was this morning when I stepped onto the balcony. I got to wear a short sleeved-shirt and open-toed shoes today. 🆒

We reached a 70 in Lexington, Kentucky today. I went bike riding all over town. Who would have guessed that global warming could be so much fun.

It’s 73 today in New Orleans, with lots of humidity. I keep waiting for even _one_ day this year when it will be cold enough to wear gloves. Maybe for the early Mardi Gras night parades, but otherwise it feels like spring. The rose bush on the side of the house and the azaleas in the back yard think it’s spring, too.

I was just down there. I left scenic Atlanta in the middle of a cold snap, wearing my jacket and sweatpants. I got down there and it’s 78 at the end of December. Madness!

We topped 80 in Orange Park - at least according to the thermometer in my daughter’s Beetle. I’ve had the windows open all day! I may leave them open all night - it’s just supposed to drop to the high 50s.

Warm tomorrow, too - which is good because we have yard work to do.

It hit 12 degrees Celsius in Toronto today. It was a beautiful early-spring day, humid, some sun, some clouid. The willows looked like they were ready to bud, and I’m sure I saw green in plowed fields on my way to my dad’s yesterday.

There’s only one problem. It’s friggin’ _January 3rd!_ It’s supposed to be twelve below, not twelve above!!! We should be locked in ice and snow, not enjoying the smell of moist earth and the sound of birdsong!

It’s supposed to get cold (i.e., drop to somewhat seasonal temperatures) tomorrow, and snow. We’ll see.

I’m reminded of Michael Moore’s book _Stupid White Men_ where he freaks out about the warm weather in January. People are saying “Wow, it’s great to have it so warm in January.” Moore reproves them: “It _isn’t supposed to be_ warm in January! Something’s out of kilter!” I don’t remember his exact words, but it was something like that.

I enjoyed the warm weather as well, but I’m thinking Mother Nature will slam us MAD’s with an unexpected blizzard in late March-early April right when we least expect it.

Weather Underground says 77 F, but it feels warmer than that. I ain’t complainin’ though, it’s SUPPOSED to be warm in Miami!
