Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization and N.O.L. went well. We had a good service and much laughter, mirth, and comsumption of commestibles was had at N.O.L. Everyone is gone, the kitchen is clean and the dishwasher is runnin’. Da bear is also tahrd, but happy. **MOOOOOOM** don’t forget to put paprika on the deviled aigs. 😃 ETA: First on Seven! ---

I’d like to say we swiped the General’s dinner the other day, but I think he left it out as it really wasn’t very good. The house is starting to echo, but the garage is filled with stacks of boxes. It’s starting to look like some sort of cardboard hoarder’s place as there’s just a winding path through the piles. ---

Eek. In the last two hours, the outside temperature has gone from 90 to 98. If it continues at 4 degrees per hour, with the hottest part of the day ca. 4:00pm, we’re looking at going well over 110. ---

We had pizza for dinner, early dinner. We couldn’t get what we wanted on Tuesday, turns out the phone lines were out down the road where the pizza shop is. So we ordered from there today. Back to irk for me. ---

Lazy weekend. I have spent it mostly catching up on my sleep. We had a few showers which makes for good sleeping weather with the metal roof. Hubby’s son and DIL are visiting but thankfully staying at a friend’s house. I am not in the mood for company now or ever really. All I do is irk and when I’m home I don’t want to be bothered. So, hubby and them are off doing the tourist thing I guess. I sort of feel guilty for being antisocial but my time should be my own especially as I irk around 11 hours a day including commute. (((( **Sari** )))) and anyone else who needs one. Right now I am awake and have the sheets washing on one bed and have the other to do and remake both. I don’t know what dinner will be as hubby and co will probably eat out so I can scrounge. There Is some leftover steak and other stuff. Weekends are entirely too short. When I feel comfortable that new irk clerk is fully trained I intend to take some time off if only for a stay cation. I am a little burned out at irk. I haven’t had more than a day off since last Thanksgiving. ---

Supper was early, good, and a bit weird. We had twice-baked N.O.T.s, cucumber salad, and deviled eggs (sans paprika 😛 ) and grape flavored drink. Ice cream sammiches later. \*\*FCD \*\*is watching _The Day After Tomorrow_ on TV - apparently the earth can plunge into the next Ice Age within 72 hours if 3 mega-storms all whirl and grow in the northern hemisphere at the same time. There is sooooooo much wrong with that stoopit movie, I can’t even watch it. So I’ll play solitaire until something else comes on. ---

Deviled aigs without paprika! I must now retire to the faintin’ couch. 😛 Oh and I agree about that movie. Stoopid movie. I watched the whole thing and all the time I was watchin’ I kept goin’ on and on about how stoopid it was. Glad I was by myself that day. ---

Dang! A bomb was found at the Goodwill donation center next to the burly butcher sto’. That’s less than a mile from da cave! :eek: Accordin’ to the local news a Goodwill worker was goin’ through a donation box and found five sticks of dynamite taped together with a timer attached. The GBI bomb squad has been called in. Dang! ---

I said, “I beg your pardon?” and the guy went through the threat again. I wish I’d asked his name… Anyway, we called the cops, and they parked a block away until the time the guy gave me was past. Then they asked our staff to go look through the building for the alleged bomb. It was bogus. ---
