No, Ethilrist…he doesn’t dip the candy into the guac (yet, anyway). Those are just two things that he can’t ever keep his hands off of. ---

It was a sarcastic remark. I am amazed at how many people buy goodies for the family and then get all bent out of shape because they actually _eat_ them. This was an actual quote from a friend of my mother’s about 40 years ago. ---

This is what I was trying to post **right** when the board went down yesterday. The last thing I was able to do was pull up the reply window. Luckily I C&P lengthy posts. **lorinada** : 😛 **gwendee** : No, I don’t like peanut M&Ms. I like some candy with peanuts, but I don’t like peanuts themselves that much. I go nuts for chocolate-covered raisins, though. All those who suggested hiding the stash: I don’t like the Reese’s that much that I _have_ to have mine. Believe me, if this was something I **really** liked, I **would** have set some aside. Like I do with the Cookie Parade cookies: if I don’t take action and save the frosted animals, they will all go at once and I will be left with vanilla wafers and fragments of chocolate-chips. Indeed. **tdn** , I can see that we’re **not** on the same page. Do you not know the power of self-denial? The strength that comes from looking at a dish of Reese’s, Hershey’s, Cadbury, any kind of candy, sensing the temptation, languidly reaching out a hand and taking **one** , unwrapping it slowly, nibbling at it and, yes, **savoring** the taste of you-got-chocolate-in-my-peanut-butter-you-got-peanut-butter-in-my-chocolate? I am the predator and the chocolate is the helpless prey. That mound of glistening foil will still be there when I’m ready to choose another victim. Don’t tell me mass slaughter is more satisfying than that! ---
