Sorry OP, but **2001: A Space Odyssey** has \*three \* scenes that need to be seen to “get” every reference to it You forgot the stargate sequence at the end. Simpsons (and others, though none spring to mind at the moment) parodied it with a vibrating chair. ---

**Alien** (Whatever number) Actor: I thought you were dead! Ripley, storming through the control room: “Yeah, I get that a lot”. I think this led to a lot of other " Tough Woman" movies. The movie “Barb Wire” comes to mind though I’m sure there are many more. ---

While certainly a memorable movie, the only bits that really get referenced repeatedly in pop culture from **The Princess Bride** would be: “Inconceivable!” “I do not think that word means what you think it means.” and “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” ---
