Bad news. I’m not going to be able to come after all. I got tapped for a 12 hour shift last night and I’m absolutely beat. ☹☹☹☹ Drink a beer, eat a steak, and goose a drag queen for me, somebody, and as God is my witness, next DopeFest we have within driving distance, I’m there. ---

Hey all, My apologies for not being able to attend. Two weeks ago, a friend from high school calls me and says “I’m getting married in two weeks.” He apparently decided to do this just that week, and put together a quickie wedding. (His baby boy - with the bride - had just been born a couple months ago.) It had been my plan to simply attend the wedding in KC at 1pm, then head back to town. Then I was drafted at the last minute to be _in_ the wedding, since they decided they wanted two ushers (which they didn’t tell me until I was just getting into town after completely missing the rehearsal, so that was…interesting.) Anyway, I still planned to get out of there in the afternoon. However, my best friend Aaron (who now lives in Houston) decided to come up as well, and however much I wanted to meet you guys, he goaded me into staying last night in KC since we don’t see each other too often these days. Hope you all had fun, and if you ever throw another one, hopefully I won’t have a friend decide to get a quickie wedding that weekend. ---

Damn, wish I could have been there. I wouldn’t have got naked, there’s too much of me, but I still could have got loads of pictures for blackmailing purposes! However, next Saturday I plan to go to the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. If any Dopers are going we could meet. Too hard to set an exact time, but I will be at the first performance_after 12:00 PM_ of Bob, the Incredible Juggler, at the Mermaid Theater. I’ll sit in back wearing the propellor beanie!
