I did Nanowrimo last year but didn’t finish my novel. I stopped when I reached exactly 50000 words, and won. I was too broken up about my mother leaving the family to actually have the energy to finish the novel. I’m thinking that maybe I can try finishing my old novel this year instead of starting a new one. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and well, caffienated and brekkied. ‘Tis a chilly 42 Amurrkin out (BRRR!) with a predicted high of 77 for the day. Next week we’ll have highs back in the mid 80s accordin’ to the weather PTB. Go figure. Anywho, I have to start out my irk day with a trip up to the north forty. Since I am a good twelve miles closer to that from da cave, I shall start from da cave because that just makes sense. Hence, waitin’ a little longer to get started. I wish everyone’d stop freaking out about the poor lil’ spideys here- the Daily Fail has discovered that a species of spider that’s always been here has a Scary Sounding Name, and one or two people have had a bad reaction to a bite that may or may not have actually been from one of them, and may or may not have actually happened, and suddenly these innocent little things what have been doing nothing worse than keeping the flies out of our houses for years are a ‘plague’. Yes, there are more spiders than usual in houses at the moment- it happens every autumn. Get used to it. Aaanyway… I did not burn myself doing silly things with fire last night, and neither did anyone else. I did discover that I am terribly out of practice at doing silly things, however, so I should get back into practice, lest I inadvertantly become sensible. ---
