I don’t watch TV but I do get annoyed at 30-second-long unskippable ads before YouTube videos. _grrrr_ ---

One reason I love my DVR: I can skip commercials, most of which seem to be written by/for adolescent boys. Also saves a lot of time (I can watch an “hour” show in 40-45 minutes by skipping commercials). ---

We get twixes over this side o’ the pond too, akchurly. Irk irked- was at rugby, inside, luckily, so avoiding the 'orrid weather. Irk wasn’t too bad actually, just a little dull, and featured a lot of standing round. Did get a lie in due to clocks changing, which means I’ve been feeling like I’m late all day. Back irking at the same place again on wednesday, for the Rugby League World Cup- if any of you ‘muricans care, your team’s playin’ the Cook Islands. If you’re saying ‘Who?’, that’s understandable- over half the population of the Cook Islands would fit in the stadium 😃 Local Indian takeaway place made dinner, and I’m utterly stuffed to the gills. Was planning to keep half for tomorrow, but that… umm… didn’t wind up happening. Oh well, I’m off tomorrow, so this is my friday night. Happy sunday! ---

I don’t want to go to work tomorrow. Last week I worked my butt off, and special events put me into overtime. I even under-reported my time a little, and went in Saturday for three hours that I didn’t put down. Yet my kitchen manager(whom most of the time I like) was hinting around about us getting our normal hour back this week. When I said I’d tried to keep my time down she got huffy and said she was talking about “everyone” not just me. Yet I was the only one in my area when she was speaking. One thing led to another and we got into an argument. She’s been worked hard this week past too, we are shorthanded, but I’m tired of being expected to try and do more work in the same amount of time, I’m tired of being micromanaged(this is new) and I’m tired of very little in the way of thanks. I’m just tired. My feet are hurting with the long hours. All I want is some appreciation and I’m not seeing it. If I could find another baking job with benefits I’d go for it, even though I’ve been here for almost thirteen years. Sorry for the rant, I needed to vent. ---

Dinner at the Casino and then Night of the Singing Dead – woooot! Most of the show is covers but they do some parodies. Once it was the Afterlifetime Achievement Awards, one year it was Lambchop welcoming Howdy Doody to death (a LOT of “woodpecker” jokes). Aaaaaaargh. No costume contest today, I guess because only 8 or 9 people dressed up. They did a random drawing to decide which three people won the requisite gift cards. I won, so I can’t _exactly_ complain, but I’m going to because if I had known it would be down to random drawing, I wouldn’t have worn this ridiculous and uncomfortable-to-work-in outfit. Also, it’s raining, it’s really quiet today so there’s nothing to do, and I’m hungry. And very, very cranky. I want to go home and not talk to anybody else until Monday. Of course, on Monday, I have to go get my damned tooth pulled, so that’s something awesome to look forward to. Grr. ---
