It ain’t cold out but it is rainy. Somehow that makes it just right to have chili and cornbread for dindin. Yay for homemade chili in da freezer. ETA: First on Five! ---

We had and early and super-yummy supper. Ham steak, corn muffins, and “company cabbage” which is cabbage, onions, and shredded carrots cooked in bullion, then tossed with a butter-mustard-pecan mixture. Very tasty and definitely a keeper recipe! We’ve been getting a lot of rain, and from the looks of the radar, more is on the way. At least it’s just rain. Had it been colder, we’d have been shoveling. :eek: But it looks like early next week, Ocala will be upper 70s/low 80s - guess we’ll need to pack shorts! ---

Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. At some point purtification for deheathenization must commence. Truth be told, I really don’t wanna go. This mornin’s service is “Advent Lessons and Carols” which I think I’m supposed to be excitated about. However, I find it to be a big ol’ yawner. Scripture, music, scripture, music, scripture, music, lather, rinse, repeat a few more times, then Holy Communion. The Holy Communion part is good but the rest is sooooooo boooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnnnn’! Oh well, Happy Sunday Y’all! ---

Happy Sunday! It’s waring up, it’s 35 degrees outside with a high of 43. The toilet is being fixed by a local handyman. The man had a stroke years ago and you can barely understand a word he says but if you can get a hold of him he does good work. For that I will do the happy dance. I haven’t seen the mousie in days, more happy dancing. It takes so little to make me dance. ---
