The first respondent, **Sternvogel** , noted that he treated it as a logic puzzle and that is basically the way that I intended it. I wanted to give somewhat cryptic clues to some of the definitive answers. For instance, I said my Dad was born in New England. I thought most people would guess that my Mom was born in Quebec because most of northern New England is bordered by Quebec. But Ontario is the obvvious “conch” because it is the most heavily populated. (Although I don’t know if that was true when Mom was born which was 1923.) ---

I thought it was fun, but I avoided some answers (like Missouri), figuring that they were the obvious choice (along with Mississippi). I think it would have been interesting if you threw out the top, non-definitive answer for each. That would make people extra cagey.
