Fad? You mean making explanations free of messy qualifiers so that they are consise without sacrificing accuracy? Yeah, that sucks. I liked it better when it took fifteen points to tease out one nitpicky point because someone didn’t just make an endnote to the post explaining a particular thing in more detail than was really necessary for most people. Conversations are better when you try to avoid clarity. ---
