_sigh_ Ok, so it is just me. I just think there’s a right time and place, and threads like the first one I listed aren’t it. All in all, it really isn’t that big a deal, but I do (and will still) find it annoying and rude, and I figured, what with this convenient Pit being here, that I’d say something about it. Now I remember why I don’t really post here. I suck at ranting. Keep at it - despite the attacks on me, this is a pretty funny thread. ---

Jeez, I go out of my way to say “Canadia” and also include a crack about Canadans losing hockey teams to Americia, and you can’t even be bothered to insult me? No one else seems to have trouble calling me names, what’s your problem?! Just wondering, is “Canuck” bad? (no really, I’ve no idea) ---

I note that in the Globe and Mail’s Canadian history test for Canada Day, one of the multiple choice options is “the bombing of Pearl Harbour.” There is no such place as Pearl Harbour. It’s Pearl Harbor. It’s a proper name. So we got you back for “Canadia.” ---

How do you say that out loud? Ewe-ess-ians? Yoosians? Ugh. Both just sound awful. If someone is hell-bent on discriminating between people from the United States and people from the rest of the Americas, U.S. -ers is at least half-way pronouncable. Of course, in text, it looks like “users,” which I guess is also problamatical. ---

Need improvement, sure, but you did get up some rage, and included a fuck or two. You do kinda suck at topic selection, but that’s not an unpardonable offense. You also apparently have at least the ability to appreciate humor, and this bodes well for future rants if you can incorporate a bit into your work. Sadly, I have to give this effort a 3 rating. Still, you show potential, Grasshopper. If I ever make it up to Canadia, I’ll buy you a beverage of your choice. I’m chivalrous like that. ---

I’m reasonably certain that there’s a Canadian Doper around here somewhere with “Canuckistan” as their location field. Damned if I can remember their name though. ---
