You may feel embarassed, and that’s natural, but a good shot of antibiotics will clear up that canadia in no time. The important thing is that you _learn_ from this experience, and use protection in the future. ---

actually, “canuck” can be a derogatory term - to a sub-set of Americans! In Maine, there are a lot of people whose ancestors came from Quebec and were originally French speaking. Calling them “canucks” can be derogatory, as the Nixon Dirty Tricks campaign demonstrated with the fake [“Canuck letter”](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canuck_Letter), purporting to be reporting on the use of the term in a derogatory fashion by a staffer on the Muskie campaign in 1968.
